Code of Conduct
soccer6 was founded out of a love for the game and a drive to make adult soccer better. Tired of negativity in the rec scene, we set out to build something different—where sportsmanship, community, and joy come first.
overview
At Soccer6, we believe soccer is bigger than the game — it’s about community. Our mission is simple: create a culture of inclusion, kindness, and respect, both on and off the pitch.
Over the years we’ve built something special, and it’s our responsibility to protect it. This Code of Conduct reflects the values that make Soccer6 what it is. Upholding it is essential to being part of our leagues. If behavior goes against this code, Soccer6 may take action — including suspension or removal.
In short: kindness, respect, and inclusion are non-negotiable. Harassment, threats, discrimination, or abuse of any kind will not be tolerated — whether toward players, staff, referees, or spectators.
We Lead with Kindness
For 15+ years, Soccer6 has been home to some of the best people in Orange County — generous, competitive, funny, and kind. That’s the culture we protect at all costs.
Kindness doesn’t stop when the game does. It extends to texts, emails, and post-game hangouts. Mutual respect and honesty are how we show it.
We Are Inclusive
All Players Welcome.
Soccer6 is for everyone 18 and older. We prioritize equity, diversity, and an environment where all players can thrive.
And remember: nobody is bigger than the team. Play with intensity, but always handle conflicts with respect.
We “Call It In”
If you see someone cross a line, address it privately and respectfully.
“Calling in” is different than “calling out.” It’s about conversation, not confrontation.
Take a tip from Ted Lasso: listen, learn, and be a goldfish. Let go of grudges and play on.

We Keep It Clean
We commit to:
-
Playing safe, injury-free soccer.
-
Avoiding dangerous play or abusive language.
-
Keeping banter fun — never disrespectful.
-
Owning our mistakes and striving to do better.
Know the rules around red, yellow, and blue cards, as well as physical altercations — they carry consequences.
If you screw up, we forgive you. If we screw up, we ask the same.
The Bottom Line
This Code of Conduct protects the joy of the game. Breaking it may result in suspension or removal from the league.
Our promise is to uphold a culture where people feel safe, included, and excited to play.
Play fair. Play kind. Play on.
